Summer Books and Libraries

One of the best things to do during my holidays is reading. I like to lie down at the beach or at the swimming pool, to take a book and to spend hours and hours (I take a break to eat something, for sure!). Anything complicated and with only one condition: be entertaining (no matter what kind of novel: detective, drama, romantic…). And for this summer I have four books to devour…

"The Distant Hours" by Kate Morton, "The Prisoner of Heaven" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón, "Fifty Shades of Grey" by E.L.James and "Los Buenos Suicidas" (not in English, sorry!) by Toni Hill
And because I like to own the books (I never borrow them from the public library) I adore the private libraries. Here some of my favourites…

My own little library (by me)
Peaceful scandinavian library (via Pinterest)
Chic library (via Pinterest)
Colorful library, impractical or not... but lovely (via woodcipandmagnolia)
White decoration (via Boligmagasinet)
With classical furniture (via The Shelby)
Although I wouldn't mind to visit this stunning library at Mälmo (via Lolitas)
Have a nice week!

pop up stores

As I told you long time ago, I like to visit many pop up stores as I can (see my older post here). Maybe because although they are totally ephemeral (usually with a short length) they are made with lot of imagination and less seriousness than “regular” shops. At Igualada, a town near my village, they celebrate the REC, a pop up store meeting two times per year. During 3 days you get mad shopping and choosing from lot of products at reduced prices (they sell as outlet) at the same time that you spend a nice evening with your friends, taking a free beer and listening some live music.
And, as a follower from their first edition, I couldn’t miss this time. Then, I went with my gorgeous friend Miriam (and our respective husbands) to see what was brewing there…

I’m very fond of clear open spaces, comfortable, that leave the air (and the people)  flow in total freedom. And, if you don’t have a super mansion about 1000SQM (that it is not my case), a good solution could be the only open room, it becomes the centre of your home. The great advantage of this type of decoration is that you can enjoy the measures of a big kitchen, dining-room and lounge without having them. As you can adapt their dimensions depending on the needs you have. If you need a bigger dining-room, you can “invade” the living-room without any problem, you only have to move some furniture (but don’t need to demolish the wall!).
Maybe the kings of this style are Nordic people. They know exactly how to combine the elements of a cute kitchen, a comfortable dining-room and a cozy lounge. But you can find lot of inspiration from everywhere at Internet. I’ve chosen some of them. I hope you like them…

Que tengas una feliz semana!

Kisses,

grey bedrooms

As I told you before, all the walls at home are white. But when I see a grey bedroom, I cannot resist to paint mine right now...

The grey pallet combines perfectly with white color and wood. And, although it has been seen as a masculine color, I think that depends with the other elements mixed. From pale grey, almost white to the darker one there is a whole range of colors to choose. Here I leave you some grey crushes...

Besos,
